Santa Monica–based airline, Surf Air, will start launching a new, unlimited travel between four cities, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Monterey, and Palo Alto.
The program is geared towards executives who travel frequently on business and are willing to pay a monthly membership fee of $790 for first-class service on mid-sized executive jets, concierge benefits, and numerous benefits.
Some of these benefits will include 30 second booking and cancellation, travel from uncongested airports which will avoid the hassle of long lines, extra fees, etc. Members will also receive unlimited complimentary guess passes and access to exclusive events and offers.
Surf Air intends to expand this service to places like Las Vegas, Palm Springs, San Diego, Sacramento, Lake Tahoe and Napa.
85% of business travel is made up of frequent fliers, and the demand for air travel is growing. Offering first class service at a reasonable price sounds like a winner.
It will be interesting to see how this service is accepted.
