I get a lot of inquiries from people looking to rent on the Wilshire Corridor. Many are not aware of the price range of available units and are surprised at the rents that being asked.
If you are going to rent on the Wilshire Corridor you will be doing so from an owner. These are condos not apartments, and you are not going to be able to get information by calling the front desk or walking into these buildings. Each unit is individually owned and chances are that the owner is going through a Los Angeles real estate agent to help them get the condo rented.
Also, it is important to understand that the rents are considerably higher than many regular, low-rise condos because the homeowners dues are high and they, plus the taxes and insurance that the owner is paying, are factored into the rent.
There is nothing like the luxury of renting on the Wilshire Corridor. Many of the buildings are full service. You drive up and your car is taken from you by the valet. You walk in and are greeted by the concierge who will give you any packages that were left. You can drop your things upstairs and go down to relax by the pool or in the spa. Maybe you feel like exercising. And, should you decide to entertain and need more space than your unit affords, you can book the banquet facilities downstairs for free. As a renter in one of these buildings you will be treated like an owner.
