Built on land once controlled by Howard Hughes, construction on Playa Vista started with Phase 1 in 2001 and is one of the newer developments on the Westside of Los Angeles.
Playa Vista continues to expand and is a destination in its own right with its restaurants and amenities. There is The Resort, a two-story state-of-the art fitness center, the Centerpointe Club, with its own fitness center, a place to conduct business, host parties, and get away from it all.
The residential mix is single family homes, condos and lofts and there are numerous amenities including the recently constructed Runway at Playa Vista, the social hub of the community. The Runway features state of the art fitness centers, restaurants, bars, and convenience stores.
In the heart of “Silicon Beach” the fast growing Southern California tech hub, Playa Vista is one of the hippest Los Angeles neighborhoods.
Playa Vista is one of the few communities in Los Angeles subject to a Mello Roos tax.
